Like many of my designs, this one started though play. Pushing shapes of metal around on the desk and catching a glimpse of the piece to come.
The reticulated and patinated silver pendant is set with a raw diamond erupting from an 18ct yellow gold setting. Natural diamonds like this one, in their uncut and unpolished state, showcase unique characteristics that are distinct from their faceted round brilliant counterparts. This diamond has a distinct octahedral shape and greenish/yellow hue with a glittery, almost wet look lustre. The surrounding sterling silver frame has a light patination for a vintage feel. The back of the pendant is also detailed, featuring some of the diamond visible from the reverse. The diamond is approximately 1.5 carats and the pendant itself is roughly 1.2 inch/3cm x 1.6inch/4cm. The piece is suspended from a 19inch-21inches/48cm-53cm adjustable belcher chain which has been lightly patinated and secured with a handcrafted 'S' clasp.
Fully hallmarked by the London assay office, you will receive this pendant in a black circular gift box with a coloured lid. Your parcel will be dispatched by secure post at no extra cost.
A little about diamond
Hindus in the ancient times strongly believed that the vibrations of a diamond render a very positive aura to many organs of the body and brain and in particular the heart. Other healing powers of diamonds also include protecting the owner from bad dreams, fighting depressions and preventing apoplexy.
