Marisco Ring - Labradorite

Marisco Ring - Labradorite, faceted white sapphire and aquamarine cabochon. The stunning oval central labradorite reminds me of the iridescence of the back of a sea mouse I one found on a beach in Wales. At first I thought it was a broken hairbrush head due to the black bristles running the perimeter of the shape, but when I put it on my hand and the bristles moved, I soon realised it was a creature of the sea! I was about 9 years old at the time, and running back to the caravan, found the coastal spotters book and discovered to my delight what it was. I have never found one since…. 
My Marisco series of pieces are so called as either their inspiration, or their finished look will stir an oceanic scene in my brain. Some will look like a real creature or scene and some are just pure fantasy. Whichever, I love them all and hope you are transported too.

Handcrafted in my Suffolk studio, as with any crystal piece, this will be cleared in my crystal singing bowl before dispatch.
